Great Education Resources you Can Use to Further Your Learning

Great Education Resources you Can Use to Further Your Learning

Education is one of the most important tools out there. I’m a strong believer that you should never stop learning even after you’ve gotten your formal training.

Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.

With all that’s happening in South Africa concerning education at the moment I thought I’d share some sites or resources for furthering your education available out there.

I will say as a disclaimer they all require a good working internet connection and I know that might be an issue for some people.

So I came across these sites as I had been looking to further my own studies and my team leader advised that I really don’t need to only be looking at traditional institutions like universities and colleges as there are so many more options out there. After doing some research of my own, I found a couple of sites that are really good for furthering your education.

Sites to visit

1. Udemy

This is what I’m using at the moment to further my education through. They have thousands of free courses available as well as paid courses. Tip: they have major sales on their courses (like up to 90% off). So if you’re patient, wait.

They also have a mobile app so you can study on the go. You will also receive a certificate upon completion.

2. Coursera

I have a few friends that are using Coursera for their learning. It basically has all the features of Udemy like thousands of free and paid courses, an app to study on the go and a certificate upon completion.

They collaborate with institutions all over the world to offer a variety of courses

3. Get Smarter

If you’re looking for a local option Get Smarter  is based in Cape Town although it’s also based in London. They however also collaborate with local institutions like UCT in their course offering.

There are tons of other resources available out there. Please feel free to share any other sites you know of below.

Hope you enjoyed this read and don’t forget to subscribe to the blog.

Keeping up with your blog is an absolute pleasure Pelontle. I have wanted to study further for a really long time now but the orthodox aproach, the time I have on my hands and the structure my Mon-Fri takes has made it close to impossible. First, first time I hear of this and look who’ll be starting to study in month’s time! thanks a mil 🙂
