I graduated yaaay!! I’m super excited to have graduated again. So excited I decided to write a blog post about it!
So for those who don’t know I received my bachelor’s degree in Informatics in 2015 and was now graduating from my Honours degree in Informatics.. I know most people don’t actually even know what Informatics is but I’m not gonna get into that right now (maybe I’ll write a post later on what I actually do)
I’m a pretty confident young lady but when it came to picking what I wanted to do with my life I was a wreck (please don’t ask me about my long term goals, that gives me anxiety). It sucks because I’ve always been surrounded by people who know exactly what they want and that can kind of make you feel like you’re lost in the world. So I went with what I felt I was good at and what seemed interesting to me at the time and fortunately by the end of my third year (difficult yet enlightening year for me) I kind of fell in love with it..
I still really struggle with big life decisions but I’ve promised myself that whatever I find myself doing I’m going to aim to be the best.
This is one of my favourite quotes:
We are not perfect human beings nor do we pretend to be, but it is necessary for us to be the best version of ourselves we can be
That’s kind of one of the many things I learnt in varsity.. so for all my readers still in varsity whether you’re still figuring out where you wanna go, or having a hard time getting to where you wanna be, don’t sweat it, perfection is really overrated. Just be the best version of yourself in everything you find yourself doing and the universe will take notice.
So I didn’t write this to give unwarranted advice just thought I would share a piece of me with you guys..
At this stage I don’t know what my next move is academically but for now the plan is to kill it in the workplace hahaa- career wise and fashionably lol
But all in all university was great, I met some amazing people, lost some too, and learnt so much about myself in the process that I really feel like I can conquer anything that comes my way.
Side note, thought I would also show you all my full grad outfit.. love how it’s also perfect for the office, just throw on a blazer and you’re good to go 🙂
